Defiant or Defiante?

It's supposed to be the Defiant. But since we aren't allowed to use that name, I had to toss an e at the end of it to make it usable. I actually liked the Defiant personally. Not the little vessel Sisko had, but the actual Connie one even though it was used twice. Their isn't any life to her really. Roddenberry never gave her much life since it was only used for one TOS episode. It leaves the possibilities open.

I believe you're missing the point here -- one that helps people understand there are different class ships with with similar names. In Star Trek/STO convention, when you name a ship that's recognized under a different class ship, you typically explain the class in Parentheses.. That is to say:

USS Defiant (Ambassador Class).
USS Enterprise-C (Ambassador Class).
USS Enterprise-F (Odyssey Class).
USS Reliant (Miranda Class).
