I hate this weekend

Too much negative shit hit this weekend for me.  Well, maybe 'm exaggerating there, but their are two major things that basically shot my ass down emotionally.  

The first one being my Grandfather.  Last night, he was having some health issues and was rushed to the hospital.  His Parkinsons got really bad.  He's fine thankfully, but going to be in the Nursing home for recovery time.  So, the family may spend Turkey Day at the Nursing home this year.  It scares the hell out of me.  He's the only grandfather I have.  I don't have two like most people do.  I'm also concerned for my dad since he isn't sure what he'll do should something happen to Grandpap.  He feels Grandpap should be in a nursing home, but Gram Gram Won't allow it.  I for one think he shouldn't have to go since Gram Gram is still around.  But I think it should be left alone.  It's not the kins decision.  They've been married since 1938.  Let them enjoy the rest of it together.

As if that wasn't bad enough.  This morning I received a phone call that a very close friend of mine died in his sleep this morning.  Now, I don't know if anyone really knows much about musicians, but when you work with someone for so long, you grow very close to each other, like a family.  In a sense, he was a brother to me.  We shared a four year bond, and blossomed together as musicians before going out separate ways to pursue other interests.  From my understanding, he died in his sleep.  Still, it's a big slap in the face for me.  I went to band practice with a different group to clear my head, then went to my friends house.  Much of it helped.  

But overall, I'm. . .  Numb.  I can't feel, I can't express in any way shape or form.  Just dead.  Maybe its just natural reaction, but I still can't feel at all.  

Talk about a lousy way to finish up the year.  Not really how I wanted to Celebrate my Turkey Day.  

Anyways, I'm gonna go into my shell for a while.  I should have something up really soon.
